Event Details:
Coaches of CIAC schools are invited to enter their athletes into the Pentathlon, 3200, 5000, or Pole Vault at the 1st Annual Connecticut High School Pentathlon. The event will be hosted at Bethel High School’s new indoor track facility on January 17, 2020. The brand new facillity has a 6 lane 60 meter straightaway, 2 Pole Vault runways, 2 Long Jump runways, High Jump, and Shot put areas on the first floor, with a 200 Meter 4 lane track on the 2nd floor.

Event Limits:
Pentathlon – Limited to the first 24 Boys and 24 Girls max of 2 per gender per school.
3200 and 5000 – Unlimited entries per school.
Pole Vault– Limited to the first 12 Boys and Girls.
1 event per athlete.

Entry Fee:
$20.00 per entry payable to Bethel Board of Education
The fee is for entering the meet.  No refund for scratches or no shows.
Payment must be made prior to competition. Check or cash acceptable day of meet.

Awards:
Medals to top 3 Athletes in each event.

55 HH Split time will be recorded for athletes to qualify for Conference and CIAC Class Meets

 

Pentathlon Rules and Progrression:

Pentathlon will follow IAAF rules, except Shot will be 4k for Girls and 12lb for Boys.
High Jump will start at Metric Equivelent of aproximatley 4' Girls and 5' Boys.
High Jump will increase by 5cm (aprox 2").

Faciliy Rules:

3/16th spikes on track surfaces.

No food or drink except reusable water bottle 

No bags except spike or throw shoe bag and med kit.

Sneakers only on non track surfaces
